Before I was ever pregnant, Attachment Parenting always resonated with me, and that has only gotten stronger since Stella made me a mommy.

A lot of people have misconceptions about Attachment Parenting, often associating it with helicopter or permissive styles. The true focus however, is on the bond formed between parent and child.

The goal behind Attachment Parenting is building a secure attachment between yourself and baby. By being responsive to baby's needs (both physical and emotional) you will create a strong trust between the two of you. Your child will feel confident knowing you are there to meet their needs.

As your kiddo grows up, this will translate into the ability for your child to feel confident in themselves to go out into the world and "do life", secure in the knowledge that their mama (and daddy) are there for them if they need them.

Learning through play is one of the most important

Learning through play is one of the most important experiences a parent can provide. Babies and kiddos are like little sponges just waiting to soak up everything around them. That’s why I like providing my daughter with toys that will help her naturally learn and pick up skills as she plays with them.

These adorable wooden alphabet blocks by @unclegoose are a perfect example. At 10 months old, Stella is obviously way to young to be actively taught the alphabet. But if we play with these blocks on a regular basis, and I routinely tell her which letter she’s playing with (and chewing on 😉) over time she will naturally pick it up. This way of learning is both fun and natural for baby, plus easy and low stress for mama!

You don’t need to sit your child down and actively teach or quiz them to help them learn. They will naturally do it on their own if you let them (with a little help and encouragement from you!)

I am so incredibly excited to be sharing that I am officially relaunching my bling and website today! This has been on my heart for such a while now, and I’m thrilled to be sharing with you guys in this way again. If you don’t know, my online content journey began with a blog, then called Label Me Organized, so my website has always held a very special place in my heart. I hope going forward that my site can be a hub for all the content that I currently create across my various platforms, so you can easily stay up to date with all I share. After years of a too small rug we finally upgraded

After years of a too small rug we finally upgraded to one that fits our living room and it looks so good! It fits the space so much better, and really opens up the whole room. We wanted to have more room for Stella to crawl and play, as well as a rug that was better suited for high traffic, and this beauty from Wayfair is the perfect fit!

Our previous rug was shag and did NOT hold up to the daily use our living room saw. Luckily we were able to pressure wash it before moving it to the bedroom. Did you know you could pressure wash rugs? It’s looks almost good as new!

I have recently finally gotten back into regularly

I have recently finally gotten back into regularly using a planner and it feels so good! I have so much on my plate, all good things, all things that I want to fit on my plate, but I needed a little help with working out how to make it all happen.

I still love my bullet journal style planner from @karst.stonepaper, but my previous layouts were much more labor intensive, as they combined my planner hobby with functionality. They just took too much time to create. Currently, I need function over style, so I settled on a super simple monthly layout style.

I was able to get this page setup one night after Stella went to bed, and I won’t need to draw up another layout for another month. Easy, done.

I also decided to institute a color coding system, something I haven’t done in my planners in quite some time. But since, like I was saying, I am wearing many hats and I wanted to organize it all in one easy at a glance place, color coding just made sense. I’m using my @zebrapen_usa pastel highlighters, and I love the way the month looks with all my plans filled in.

This system has been working great for me and what my planner needs are at the moment. But the best thing about bullet journals is you can adjust as you go, so if I want to include something next month, or just change it up in some way, I’ll be able to do that!

Overall being in a planner again just helps me feel so much more on top of everything, not to mention I just love me a good paper planner💕
