I was particularly excited about what came in this month’s Play! by Sephora box. That’s because this month’s “theme” was The Eye Openers, and came with all sorts of eye product samples. Eye makeup is and always has been my favorite type of makeup, and so I’m super excited to try out all my new goodies!

Products in This Box
1. Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil
This super creamy eye contour pencil is definitely something I’m super excited to play around with. Originally I thought it was more of an eyeliner, but after testing it out it seems more like a cream eyeshadow stick. The sample that was in my box was in color Flirting Game, but these pencils come in a ton of colors. And at $10 a pop, I would definitely consider investing in a few additional colors in the full size product. Find it here.
2. Lancôme Énergie de Vie
This product was a little confusing as to what it was, but after a little research I believe it is just a basic moisturizer that claims to also protect your skin and add a dewey glow. I’m not sure about all that, but I will be running out of my daily moisturizer soon, so I’ll give it a try and see how it goes! Find it here.
3. Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Eye Lifting Balm
I was really excited to get a Caudalie product in this month’s box, as I’ve heard good things and have been wanting to try something from them for quite a while. I thought it was very interesting that this product can be used around both your eyes and lips to lift and smooth those areas. I can’t say I’ve started to have problems around my lips yet, but I will definitely be testing this out around my eyes once I run out of my current eye cream. Find it here.
4. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
Mascara is definitely by far my favorite beauty product of all time. I pretty much own around 20 tubes of mascara at any given time, and I’m always game to try one more! It is definitely the one product I’d choose to wear if I couldn’t wear anything else. So I am super excited to give this sample a try. I am already blown away by the super nice feeling packaging of this product, which feels almost metallic rather than plastic-y like most mascara tubes. Find it here.
5. Clean Reserve Blonde Rose
This unfortunately is probably my least favorite of the perfume samples that I’ve received my Play! boxes so far. I’m just really not a floral-perfume type of gal, and this classically rose scented perfume is definitely that. Find it here.
6. Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow Eyeshadow & Powder Blush
Another product I’m super excited to try out is this new eyeshadow (and apparently blush as well!). I almost exclusively wear browns/golds on my lids, so this copper-y shadow will fit perfectly into my makeup collection. While my first swipe of the shadow seemed to have horrible pigmentation, the second was perfectly great, so I think this will be a good shadow I’ll start to use regularly. Find it here.
I hope you enjoyed unboxing this month’s Play! by Sephora box, and I’ll see you again with next month’s box!
