Hey everyone!! As you guys know, I shared in my last post that I received my very first Kikki.K planner for Christmas this year. I am absolutely crazy, stupid, over the moon in love with this planner, and I wanted to give you guys a little first look/tour/walk through before I got it all set up.
I know I like seeing full walk through videos of planners I’m interested in, especially if I’m thinking about purchasing the planner. So if you’ve had your eye on a Kikki.K, I hope this video can provide a nice in depth look at this planner for you!
My planner is the Mint Perforated planner in large, which is equivalent to A5 size in other planners (like Filofax). I have wanted a Kikki.K planner for forever, I just think their style and design is absolutely perfect, and I could not be more thrilled to finally own one! I also shared a bunch of pictures of the planner later in this post, if you prefer that over videos, or wanted to get a closer look at something specific. Enjoy!

Ok so as I said before, my new planner is a large Mint Perforated Kikki.k, and here is a full view of the front of the planner. I just think it is so freaking adorable, and just the right touch of cutesy.
Here is the view from the top. I know from some research that the Kikki.K rings are generally a good amount larger than the comparable rings in A5 sized Filofaxes, which I am happy about. I like my planners chunky, and I like the option to be able to squeeze in as much as I need into the planner.
This style of planner comes with gold hardware, and I am so smitten with the little monogrammed snap closure. This is one of the things that sets apart a Kikki.K as a true Kikki.K in my mind, and I just love it!
The entire exterior of my planner is a textured leather, with an adorable perforated pattern along the entire spine. Kikki.K also makes planners where the entire cover has this perforated design, but I prefer the small accent it provides being just on the spine. It adds a nice touch instead of being overwhelming in my opinion.
The inside cover has a nice setup with various sized pockets and a couple of notepads. In previously planners I’ve pretty much fully neglected any front pockets, but I think I’m going to make an effort to at least slightly decorate the pockets in this planner. We’ll see how I do!
Here’s a close-up of the beautiful gold rings! So in love.
The planner does come with a set of dividers and a good amount of inserts preloaded in the rings. There are 7 pink dividers in this planner. Three of which are labeled Calendar, Meetings and To Do, and the last four are blank.
The Calendar section is full of undated month on two pages inserts. I really like the design of these inserts, they’re nice and simple and plain. However the paper quality of all the inserts that come in this planner (like so many other planners – I’m looking at you Filofax) are very thin, and will almost certainly show bleed through. I don’t mind too much however, since I was already planning on adding in my own inserts.
I won’t be using these monthly pages for any of my regular monthly planning, since I do that in my Life Planner, but I do want to find some use for them. Maybe some sort of tracking, or record keeping. Again, we’ll see!
The next section, labeled Meetings, is full of Meeting Notes inserts. While I don’t regularly attend any meetings, and probably won’t need these for their intended purpose, I fully plan to use them as regular notes pages. Waste not, want not!
The To Do section holds To Do inserts. Surprise, surprise. The one thing I did find a bit odd was that there are no checkboxes on the To Do pages. There are two columns of lines, but no boxes to actually make a checklist. Which isn’t a huge deal, I just think it’s a little funny! I do plan to use some of my Studio L2E stamps to add in some checkboxes for myself, and just deal with the ink bleed through.
The last four sections of the planner are chock full of blank, lined pages. There is a spot to fill in the subject and date of your notes at the top, and the rest of the page is the same clean, simple design as the rest of the planner inserts. I really like the large amount of each insert that comes with the planner, you won’t have to worry about running out for quite some time!
The very black of the planner has one additional pocket, which come with a full size notepad slid into it. A single pen loop is also anchored to the back cover, and that pretty much finishes things up!
One final detail that I also wanted to share, just because I think it is such a nice touch, is the logo stamp on the back of the planner. It is this beautiful gold foiled-esque logo stamp, and it is stunning. Literally everything about this planner to me is pure perfection, down to the very last detail!
Ok so now that you guys have seen the full planner, I wanted to chat a bit about my plans for how I am going to use it. I haven’t nailed down every detail for my plan, but I do have a vague outline of what I want to do with it. I think I am going to replace my daily discbound planner, and move most of it’s contents into my new Kikki.K. I also have a few new sections I want to add in as well!
I think for now I am going to stick with the mint and pink theme that the planner comes designed in. I think I am going to keep the stock dividers, and just update their labels to fit my needs. While I’m still planning out the guts of my planner, I have already started collecting a few decorative odds & ends I definitely want to use in my planner to begin with.
First thing I have is the absolute cutest polymer clay cupcake charm ever created. This little cutie is made by ShaeBooCrafts, and is going to be decorating the rings of my Kikki.K. Her little mint cupcake liner and pink bow are just perfect for the color scheme, and you guys know my absolute love of anything miniaturized. So I am thrilled to have this little sweet treat greet me whenever I open up my planner each day!
Next up is one of my paper clips from CuteByDesignCo. This one is designed as Marie from the Aristocats, and oh my gosh I’m over the moon! Marie is one of my favorite Disney characters, she is just so girly and sassy, and I’m so excited to have this clip!
I say this every time I mention CuteByDesignCo, but ever since I’ve gotten my very first clip from Kristin, I have just been blown away by the quality, design and attention to detail in her products, not to mention her overall sweetness! I truly could not more highly recommend checking out her shop!
Finally, the last thing I’ve collected to start using in my new planner is my white signature collection PenGems pen. I literally have not stopped using this pen since I got it for Christmas. I am using the Pilot gel ink refills, and I think I have found pen peace! Between the gorgeous design of the pen, and the smooth and precise writing of the ink, I am just so smitten :). And I think the white just looks so beautiful against the mint planner.
Those are the few things I’ve pulled aside so far, but I am definitely still on the hunt for more goodies to fill up this beauty! My current project is setting up each section, and finding the perfect inserts!
I hope you guys really liked getting a close-up look at my new planner, and hearing about my plans for it and getting a peak at a few of the products I’ll be using! I love sharing my planner journey with you guys, and I am already so excited to share my next step once I get this pretty thing all set up! Let me know if you have any questions, or any suggestions for my setup, I’d love to hear from you!
