Hey everyone! The holidays are really coming fast and furious aren’t they? I still feel like summer just ended, how is it almost the end of the year already? With Christmas only 2 weeks away, I am in the full swing of holiday shopping over here, and I thought it would be fun to share a planner addict gift guide with you all!
Whether you’re hoping to find the perfect gift for your favorite planner girl, or need some ideas to add to your own wishlist, I got you covered. You could even send a link to this post right to your special someone, to give them a nudge in the right direction for your perfect gift ;).
As a planner addict myself, I would love to find any of these goodies under my tree. A few items I share here I have tried and loved myself, and a few are actually on my own wishlist this year! If you’re looking for even more ideas, you can always check out last years Planner Addict’s Gift Guide as well.
Note: This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase one of the products I recommend using these links, I will make a teeny, tiny commission at no extra cost to you. Your support helps keep Label Me Merrit running 🙂
Every planner girl needs a pretty planner! And if you’re saying to yourself “well she already has a planner, so she doesn’t need another one”… wrong! Many planner girls love collecting planners, much like other girls collect purses or shoes. A brand new planner will always be a welcome surprise under the Christmas tree!
This particular beauty was on my list to Santa this year! I have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with the cute and classy look of the Kikki.K leather planners. This planner is perfect for the dedicated ring bound planner girl, who may switch her inserts from planner to planner weekly! Kikki.K planners come in a variety of pretty, feminine styles. A few of my favorites are the perforated mint or the textured leather in peach, black or yellow.
These spiral bound planners are perfect for the decorative planner girl. While most planner girls love adding a bit of pretty to their planner pages, for some, this is the main draw to planning. If your planner girl loves to pile on the washi, or has turned her closet into her ‘sticker storage’, chances are she’d be thrilled to find an Erin Condren Life Planner under her tree.
These planners have been my go to for a couple months now, and I have been loving it! The vertical weekly layout is perfect for fitting in everything I need to keep organized, though I have been tempted by the pretty muted colors and design of the horizontal layout. The changeable covers also add a fun element that you won’t find in many other planners. You can find a full review and tour of the vertical Life Planner here. (Use this link to make your first purchase with Erin Condren and receive $10 off!)
While I haven’t had the pleasure of personally testing out an Inkwell Press planner, I have heard nothing but amazing things about them in the planner community. This is another spiral bound planner option. These planners are perfect for avid planner stampers. Inkwell Press lifeWELL Planners are known for their super thick paper, which will reduce shadowing and bleed through of stamped ink.
I am also a super fan of the design of this entire planner, especially the dotted lines and graphic details seen throughout. Each month also has a mood board at the beginning, to help collect your thoughts and focus on goals when started a new month! This planner is definitely on my list of ‘to try’ planners!
Another staple for any planner girl is washi tape! With an infinite number of designs, there is a washi tape for every style of planner girl! Washi tapes make perfect stocking stuffers, and again no planner girl ever has enough! You can either buy full rolls of washi tape, or you can test out a bunch of different patterns with washi tape samples.
As you guys already know, I love me some planner stickers! They are a super quick and easy way to fancy up your pages without a ton of effort. Planner sticker themes and kits also take a bunch of thought out of the process, since they come with pre-coordinating colors and designs!
Be sure to check out the planner kits available in the Merrit Elizabeth Shop! They would make such a perfect gift, since they come with a great variety of stickers. You can pick up a kit in either of my color themes (Sherbert and Spring Fling) or you can pickup a couple in your recipient’s favorite colors!
Many other shops also offer some beautiful stickers and kits! One of my favorite perks of shopping for planner stickers is supporting other small businesses, which is hugely important to me this Christmas! A few of my favorite shops are Scribble Prints Co, Pretty Stickin Cute, Sweet Kawaii Design and Karolina’s Krafts. That should give you a nice variety of shops to get started with!
My first planner decoration love will always be Planner Stamps. And in my mind, there is no other source for planner stamps besides Studio L2E. You simply cannot get any better in terms of quality or design in my opinion. For a planner stamp newbie, I recommend you begin with some functional sets like Plan It and List It. A few of my other favorites are Happy Notes, Wu Wu Alphabet, Iconic, Iconic Outlines, and I’m going to stop there. I could seriously list my favorite Studio L2E sets all day! If you’re new to stamping make sure to check out my Stamping Basics Guide.
Next up, there are a ton of ways to decorate and pretty up your planner besides decorating the actual pages! Every planner deserves some accessories, and there are tons of options out there!
Paper clips are a super fun way to dress up your planner! I am constantly blown away by the talent and creativity planner clip makers display with their products. There are again so many different styles and designs, all of which are so fun to see peeking out the top of your planner, or decorating the front pockets!
A few of my all time favorite sources for planner paper clips are Cute By Design Co, Dear Lola Planner Studio and Pigtails and Pockets. Each shop offers a different type of paperclip, and are just so skilled at what they create! I have personally used and can attest to the amazing quality of Cute By Design Co and Dear Lola Planner Studio clips, they are both regulars in my planners!
Another fun way to dress up your planner is with planner charms! These are fun to hook onto the spine or in the rings on your planner, to dangle down the spine. A few of my favorite sources for planer charms are Kawaii Studios, Shae Boo Craft, and Peach Pom. I have a couple Kawaii Studios charms on my Life Planner, and both Shae Boo Craft and Peach Pom charms are on my personal wishlist!
Similar to planner charms, planner tassels are great to let hang down the spine of your planners. My favorite are from Haute Pink Fluff. I just love her Tiny Tassel Keychains and big fluffy Pom Poms! These yarn based tassels add such a cute soft accent to any planner. These have been on my own wishlist for quite some time!
Planner Kit Subscription
Finally, if you really want to spoil your favorite planner girl, sign her up for a year’s subscription to a planner subscription kit! Subscription kits are perfect gifts, since they keep on giving through the entire year! Just think how happy she’ll be when a box full of planner goodies shows up on her doorstep month after month!
I persionally receive the Planner Addict Box each month, and have been loving every single one! (You can get a look at an average box here). I would also recommend Studio Calico’s planner kit, as well as the Planner Society kit.
I hope this post helped you come up with a few ideas to surprise your favorite planner girl with, or to add to your own wishlist! Again, if you’re still looking for ideas, you can check out last year’s gift guide here. Happy shopping!
