Hey everyone! Happy last day ever of 2014! This year has just whizzed by, hasn’t it? I’ve been using the last few weeks to reflect on 2014, and to start planning for 2015. I shared all my goals for the New Year with you guys earlier this week, and I’m so excited to start tackling those things one by one!
This time of the year is one of my favorites. While I am super not a fan of cold weather, I do love the start of a new year. I love thinking about the year ahead, wide open and full of possibilities. I love reflecting on what did and didn’t work the previous year, and how I can improve my systems for the next. And most of all, I love setting up a brand spankin’ new planner for the New Year!!
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, I’ve been sharing sneak peeks of this process. I am starting completely from scratch with this planner, with brand new inserts (available in the Merrit Elizabeth Shop soon) and everything! I have always loved the looks of pretty planners with decorated pages, and up until now I have never really attempted planner decoration myself.
With my brand new adorable Studio L2E planner stamps, I thought now was the perfect time to make some pretty planner pages of my own! So I sat down one night and just had tons of fun decorating and planning the month of January 2015. And here is the finished product!
You can find a full list of products I used to make these pages at the end of this post!

So what do you think? How did I do for my first set of pretty planner pages? I definitely had a ton of fun making them, and it makes my plans look so much cuter!! Do you decorate your planner? If you do, what is your favorite tool or supply to use? I’m definitely all about my planner stamps, because they’re reusable and I won’t ever have to worry about running out like with washi tape or craft paper :).
I’m thinking about making this into a Pretty Planners series, with lots of ideas for decorating your planner pages. I’ll also be sharing a full planner tour once this baby is fully set up. Would you like to see more posts like this on Label Me Merrit? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
